Dr Xiuzhi (‘Susie’) graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2011 and went on to complete her training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Monash Health. She was drawn to country practice and made the seachange to Port Fairy, where she worked as a GP for six years. During this time, she gained extensive experience across the full spectrum of family medicine, including shared obstetric care, acute inpatient care, minor procedures, aged care, and palliative medicine. In 2021, she moved to the Bellarine Peninsula to settle closer to family.

Xiuzhi holds additional diplomas in Child Health and Obstetrics and Gynaecology, with a particular focus on chronic disease management, paediatrics, women’s health, and pregnancy care. She is accredited to provide Pregnancy Shared Care with Barwon Health. Xiuzhi is passionate about providing holistic, patient-centered care to help individuals achieve their best health and quality of life.
As a mother of two young children and a lively Labrador, Xiuzhi knows firsthand how challenging it can be to juggle family life, work, and health. She feels privileged to share in her patients’ journeys through life’s ups and downs, supporting them as they work towards their health goals and make time for the things that bring meaning and fulfilment to their lives. Outside of work, she enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
