Born, bred and schooled in Geelong, Dr Bell is a GP with almost 30 years of general practice experience. He graduated with Honours from Monash University in 1990 and undertook his residency at Geelong Hospital (now University Hospital, Geelong).Book an appointment
While at Geelong Hospital, he worked across various fields, including general medicine and surgery, cancer medicine, and paediatrics and undertook a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. After completing his training in general practice, he worked for 27 years as a principal GP at the Bannockburn Surgery.
He enjoys the broad sweep of general practice, especially general adult medicine and sports medicine.
Additionally, he undertakes a range of minor surgical procedures.
He has three adult sons, two of whom are pursuing a medical careers. A lifelong and passionate runner, although slowing down, you may see him pounding the paths around Ocean Grove and Barwon Heads. He is also a keen cook and baker with a sourdough rye starter, now nearing 12 years of age.
