Born, bred and schooled in Geelong, Dr Bell is a GP with almost 30 years of general practice experience. He graduated with Honours from Monash University in 1990 and undertook his residency at Geelong Hospital (now University Hospital, Geelong).
Book an appointmentWhile there, he worked across a range of fields including, general medicine and surgery, cancer medicine, paediatrics and undertook a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. After completing his training in general practice, he worked for 27 years as a principal GP at the Bannockburn Surgery.
He enjoys the broad sweep of general practice, especially general adult medicine and sports medicine. Additionally, he undertakes a range of minor surgical procedures.
He has 3 adults sons, two of whom are heading towards a career in medicine. A lifelong and passionate runner, although slowing down, you may see him pounding the paths around Ocean Grove and Barwon Heads. He is also a keen cook and baker with a rye sourdough starter that is now nearing 12 years of age.
